Aging Buckets

Primary Definition:

The aging bucket is a term used primarily in the accounts receivable domain. It can be classified into four or five main categories depending on the aging method of the debt. The primary buckets are Current, 31-60, 61-90, 91-120, and 120+ days. These days are how long the invoice from the customer has gone unpaid.

In our applications the aging methods are used as global and quick filters within many accounts receivable products. This enables someone at the local company to quickly sort invoices or money owed to their company by those aging buckets.
